Ever buy someone a gift and then can hardly wait to give to them? That is what we did yesterday with Dancer's birthday gift. Her birthday isn't until Saturday and I don't know if I can wait that long to give it to her. Knowing that this perfect gift, that she is going to love, is just sitting idle in my bedroom is making me more crazy than her waiting for her birthday. Which by the way, I love how kids can't wait to get older, if they only knew what it was like to turn 40 they wouldn't be so eager to get there.
We did turn the gift buying to a full day of adventure. There wasn't one in the nearest town to us so we headed towards the cities and geocached along the way. We met a fellow geocacher at one cache which is always loads of fun and then told someone else at another cache about geocaching. The store we went to didn't have one in stock, even though on the Internet it said there was one there. Don't these stores know people drive a long way when they say they have one? We checked another store just in case and they had a whole shelf full making our trip a success.
Now I just have to keep the secret until Saturday - maybe.
