Barn cleaning is the necessary evil of owning animals. We should have done this last spring but it isn't hard to find a reason not to. This kids are smiling here, not because they love to shovel poo but, because we are done for the day.
Spark stood next to the pile to show just how much work we did and we aren't done yet. Goats are great hay wasters and then they can really pack it down in their pens. While this looks huge, in a year there won't be any pile left, it will compost down into a small mound.
