The grocery store nearest us is very small. It has five short aisles that only one narrow cart can fit down at a time. It is busy though, you usually always have to waiting in line to check out and often they have two registers going. There are, however, no bar code readers. Everything is still priced by hand and the check out person rings up the dollar amount on this little cash register, about a third the size of one in a big grocery store, beeplessly.
