Oven Bacon

This is by far, in my opinion anyway, the best way to make bacon.   Cover the broiler pan with foil so clean up is easier.  Cut slits through the foil in the slits already in the pan so the grease can run down to the bottom part of the pan.  Lay the bacon in a single layer.  Pop it in a 400 degree oven until it is crispy or how ever you like it.  Spark likes his soggy but the rest of like it crispy, crispy.

End result - beautiful flat bacon perfect for snacking on during a game of 500 Rummy.

Yum! I have never made bacon in the oven before, but I think it's going on our list of things to do! :)

I like that you snack on bacon during a game of 500. You're my kind of people. :)

May I, please, come for breakfast? It looks delicious and a lot healthier than frying in, even, a cast iron skillet which is how I usually cook bacon.

Love bacon in the oven. If you place three or four pieces side by side but slightly on top of each other, they come out stuck together and you have a perfect piece of bacon for a BLT.

Oh, good tip about layering the bacon! For sure will try that when the tomatoes start this summer.
