Veteran's Day?

We had a birthday present to mail this week and I remembered that it would need to be mailed on Monday because on Tuesday the post office would be closed. Yeah for remembering the holiday! Today we didn't go out and check the mail, wonder why it wasn't there, go out and check the mail, wonder why it wasn't there, go out and check the mail and so on.... Yeah for remembering the holiday! It's Tuesday when we go to town for dance, errands and the library. We left an hour early so we would have plenty of time at the library. We always seem to need a least and hour to an hour and half there. We come around the corner to the library and the parking lot is.......completely empty. No yeah for remembering the holiday. I did feel better when we got to dance and one of the other kids said that they too had just come from that empty parking lot. Another parent confessed that she checked her mail box twice, and she is a county employee and had the day off!
